Your Right to Data Deletion
Under data protection laws including the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), you have the right to request deletion of your personal data.
How to Request Data Deletion
Option 1: Email Request (Recommended)
Send an email to privacy@bahayexpert.com with the following information:
- check_circle Subject line: "Data Deletion Request"
- check_circle Your full name as registered on the account
- check_circle Email address associated with your account
- check_circle Phone number (if registered)
- check_circle Reason for deletion (optional but helpful)
Option 2: In-App Request
If you are logged in, you can request deletion through your account settings:
- 1 Go to Profile Settings (/profile)
- 2 Scroll to the bottom of the page
- 3 Click "Delete Account" button
- 4 Confirm your decision and follow the prompts
Option 3: Postal Mail
You can also send a written request to:

What Data We Delete
Upon successful verification, we will delete:
- delete Account credentials and profile information
- delete Personal contact details (email, phone, address)
- delete Property listings and associated data
- delete Chat messages and communication history
- delete Uploaded documents and images
- delete Cookie preferences and tracking data
Data We May Retain
We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes:
- info Transaction records: Financial records required by tax laws (retained for 7 years)
- info Legal compliance: Data needed to comply with legal obligations
- info Security logs: Anonymized security data for fraud prevention
Processing Timeline
Response Time
We will respond to your deletion request within 30 days. In complex cases, this may be extended by an additional 30 days, and we will notify you of the delay.
Verification Process
To protect your privacy, we will verify your identity before processing your deletion request. This may include:
- verified Confirming access to the email address associated with your account
- verified Requesting additional identification if necessary
Consequences of Data Deletion
Important Notice
Deleting your account is permanent and irreversible. You will lose access to all your listings, messages, and account history. If you wish to use our services again, you will need to create a new account.
